G. Crawford et al., LUMINOSITY MEASUREMENT WITH THE CLEO-II DETECTOR, Nuclear instruments & methods in physics research. Section A, Accelerators, spectrometers, detectors and associated equipment, 345(3), 1994, pp. 429-439
A measurement of absolute integrated luminosity is presented using the
CLEO II detector operating at the CESR e+e-storage ring. Independent
analyses of three different final states (e+e-, gammagamma, and mu+mu-
) at square-root s congruent-to 10 GeV normalize to the expected theor
etical cross sections and correct for detection efficiencies. The resu
lting luminosities are measured with systematic errors of +/- 1.8%, +/
- 1.6%, and +/- 2.2%, respectively, and are consistent with one anothe
r. The combined luminosity has a systematic error of +/- 1.0%.
