Abstract
An agricultural degraded and a natural low marshy soil were compared i n selected physical, chemical and microbiological characteristics. The degraded marshy soil with lower water content was densely populated w ith aerob bacteria and was more bioactive as the natural marshy soil. The degraded marshy soil contains fewer carbon (C(t)) and nitrogen (N( t)) because the mineralization of organic soil content was higher thro ugh more active microbes.
