Fourteen thiadiazole derivatives have been prepared and their thermal
behaviours determined using DSC technique. The results suggested that
an alkyl substituent at the 2- and 5-positions increases the thermal s
tability and antimicrobial activity, whereas a benzyl or allyl substit
uent at both positions exerts the opposite effect.
