The Peking University accelerator mass spectrometer (PKUAMS) has been
put into routine operation. C-14 measurements of archaeological sample
s with fast cycling injection have shown good results. The new multi-t
arget high-intensity sputtering ion source has been tested and Be-10 m
easurements were carried out with a new detector in which both the sto
pping of the intense flux of B-10 ions and the identification of Be-10
ions are performed. Al-26 samples were also measured. While various a
pplications show good prospects for PKUAMS, further upgrade is desirab
le.
