Abstract
A ps handling system for AMS radiocarbon dating with a CO2 sputter sou rce has a unique set of requirements. These are discussed both in gene ral and in relation to the design adopted at the Oxford facility. In a ddition to the physical ps handling apparatus, the design of the neces sary electronic and software control systems are also covered.
