S. Vogt et al., CHEMISTRY OPERATIONS AT PURDUE ACCELERATOR MASS-SPECTROMETRY FACILITY, Nuclear instruments & methods in physics research. Section B, Beam interactions with materials and atoms, 92(1-4), 1994, pp. 153-157
The present status of chemistry operations of PRIME Lab, Purdue's Acce
lerator Mass Spectrometry Facility, is reviewed. The capabilities and
performance of sample preparation for the three nuclides Be-10, Al-26
and Cl-36 in a variety of different sample types are found to be adequ
ate for the current performance figures of the AMS facility. Standard
materials prepared and in use at PRIME Lab are described. Future plans
are directed toward standardization and automation of analytical tech
niques as well as the addition of the nuclides C-14, Ca-41, and I-129.
