Abstract
A depth profile of cosmogenic neutron-capture-produced Cl-36 was measu red in quartz extracted from a siliceous dolomite ejecta boulder drill core at Meteor Crater, AZ. The results show a maximum in production b elow the top surface of the boulder and are consistent with the depth dependence of production predicted by Monte Carlo calculations. A mode l is presented here that uses the special features of the profile to d etermine both the exposure age and steady-state erosion rate of a geom orphic surface.
