Abstract
The results of analyses of the Cl-36 content of groundwaters in the La c du Bonnet granite batholith are described and compared with previous modelling calculations and Cl-36 content of rock matrix solutions obt ained from a borehole leaching experiment. The results are used to pro vide support for the proposal that groundwater salinity is largely der ived from dissolution of soluble salts in the rock matrix.
