Abstract
We have developed techniques and are commencing experiments using enri ched Ca-41 as a tracer in isolated rabbit heart preparations. The aims of the study are to measure calcium uptake and deposition in response to cardiac ischemia and reperfusion, and to investigate events and me chanisms leading to irreversible myocyte injury.
