Abstract
The first part of this paper contains a short review on the concept of social norms and its context in recent research. It is shown that nor ms are often invisible and not the focus of regard, but that they are nevertheless mostly very important factors of events. The second part contains of twelve theses. The first six concern general structures an d processes in society; theses seven to twelve focus on group processe s, mostly related to decision-making in groups.
