Abstract
The main focus of this empirical investigation is the comparison betwe en 62 main subject students and 80 subsidiary subject students of the subject of social psychology during their basic studies. They are aske d what are their wishes, expectations and ideas about their subject. T he research methods were on the one hand formulated items, for example the question: how important is practical/scientific orientation for y ou during your studies. On the other hand there were five open questio ns, such as: ''Which subjects do you want to study in social psycholog y lectures?''. The results show that there is a correspondence between the attitudes and expectation towards the study courses in general an d the lecture in particular and that there are differences between psy chology students and students of other disciplines.
