Nl. Heredia et al., IMPROVED RAPID METHOD FOR PRODUCTION AND PURIFICATION OF CLOSTRIDIUM-PERFRINGENS TYPE-A ENTEROTOXIN, Journal of microbiological methods, 20(2), 1994, pp. 87-91
Clostridium perfringens strain FD-1041 was grown in Duncan-Strong medi
um containing raffinose for 5 h at 43 degrees C. Enterotoxin in the ce
ll extract was purified 5.5-fold by a modified ammonium sulfate-gel fi
ltration method using Sephacryl S-200. The enterotoxin could be purifi
ed to homogeneity with 50% recovery in less than 48 h.
