Abstract
A small cryogenically cooled spectrometer system designed to obtain at mospheric emission spectra in the 7.5mum to 13.0mum region was flown p iggyback on 9 balloon flights from ESRANGE (67.9-degrees-N, 21.1-degre es-E) during the EASOE campaign. Initial analysis of the spectra obtai ned has been concentrated on obtaining HNO3 profiles for the various f lights. HNO3 profiles for 17 December 1991, 9 January 1992, 22 January 1992, 5 February 1992 and 14 March 1992 are presented.
