Abstract
High silicon zeolite H-ZSM-5 and Hydrophobic zeolite silicalite-I were characterized by powder XRD, FT-IR and Si-29 MAS NMR. Hydrophobic zeo lite silicalite-I possesses a monoclinic symmetry at room temperature. The facts that high resolution of IR spectra for framework vibration and Si-29 MAS NMR spectra, and the loss of Si-OH IR vibration at 3450c m-1 and 3730cm-1 prove a perfect arrangement of [SiO4] tetrahedra in c ell of silicalite-I. The micropore surface constructed by -Si-O-Si- ar e good hydrophobic.
