Abstract
A treatment of the kinetics of internal oxidation of ternary alloys in the absence of an external scale is presented The analysis involves s imultaneous internal oxidation of the two solutes in the ternary alloy s. A comparison with measurements on Ni-4 at.% Al-1 al.% Si alloys at 800-degrees-C reveals a good agreement between theory and experiment.
