Abstract
This paper describes a CW CO2 (CO) laser with stabilized output parame ters that can be automatically switched from line to line. The laser g enerates 115 vibration-rotation CO2 lines between 9.15 and 11.3 mum an d 100 CO lines between 5.3 and 6.4 mum. The laser is switched from CO2 operation to CO operation by replacing a sealed laser tube. Then comp uterized control of the laser spectrum is described.
