Abstract
Excess molar volumes at the temperature 298.15 K were measured for {x( 1)CH(3)CH(2)COOCH(2)CH(3) + x 2CH3(CH2)(4)CH3 + (1 - x(1) - x(2))CH3(C H2)(2)OH or CH3(CH2)(3)OH}, and for: {xCH(3)CH(2)COOCH(2)CH(3) + (1 - x)CH3(CH2)(4)CH3}, {cCH(3)CH(2)COOCH(2)CH(3) + (1 - x)CH3(CH2)(2)OH}, {xCH(3)(CH2)(4)CH3 + (1 - x)CH3(CH2)(3)OH}, {xCH(3)CH(2)COOCH(2)CH(3) + (1 - x)CH3(CH2)(3)OH}, and {xCH(3)(CH2)(4) CH3 + (1 - x)CH3(CH2)(3)O H}. Excess molar volumes were determined using an Anton Paar DMA 60/60 2 densimeter. The experimental values obtained in this work were compa red with results obtained using methods which estimate ternary propert ies from binary results. (C) 1997 Academic Press Limited.
