Gp. Peterson et Cs. Chang, HEAT-TRANSFER ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION FOR 2-PHASE FLOW IN POROUS-CHANNEL HEAT SINKS, Numerical heat transfer. Part A, Applications, 31(2), 1997, pp. 113-130
Presented are the results of a heat transfer analysis of hue-phase hea
t dissipation using a high-conductivity porous-channel heat sink. In t
he analysis, a consistent set of conservation equations based on phase
-averaged properties of the fluid are derived from the conventional on
es and solved numerically by the finite volume method. The results ind
icate that the high conductivity and large solid-fluid contact area of
the porous channel result in a high heat transfer performance for two
-phase heat dissipation, which may be an alternative to cooling techni
ques for microelectronics with high heat flux.
