Abstract
The significance of vitamin E and of Se-containing glutathione-peroxid ase for health and productivity of cattle and sheep is demonstrated. F or the characterization of the supply with vitamin E and selen suitabl e parameters are given. Nutritional aspects of the prophylaxis of musc ular dystrophy, of mastitis and of the retentio secundinarum are discu ssed.
