Abstract
We provide a statistical framework to estimate age-specific breeding p robabilities in vertebrate populations, from recaptures or resightings of individuals marked as young. We consider data collected at one or possibly several points over time, when individual recapture histories are known, leading to models which we call longitudinal models. An ex ample of resightings of black-headed gulls, Larus ridibundus, is consi dered.
