I. Baranowska et al., THE ANALYSIS OF POLYCYCLIC AROMATIC-HYDROCARBONS IN SOIL EXTRACTS BY ADSORPTION AND REVERSED-PHASE THIN-LAYER CHROMATOGRAPHY, JPC. Journal of planar chromatography, modern TLC, 7(2), 1994, pp. 137-141
Plates coated with silica gel, a 1:1 mixture of silica gel and kieselg
uhr, aluminum oxide, RP-18, or RP-8, developed with various solvent sy
stems, have been used for adsorption and reversed phase thin layer chr
omatography of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH). The methodology
has been used to analyze PAH in the soil extracts taken from a coke p
lant. The methods have been used for quantitative TLC of PAH and the r
esults have been compared with those obtained by gas chromatography.
