A. Mohammad et al., NEW SURFACE-MODIFIED SORBENT LAYERS FOR CHROMATOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS OF SOME INORGANIC POLLUTANTS, JPC. Journal of planar chromatography, modern TLC, 7(2), 1994, pp. 142-146
The chromatographic behavior of nineteen metal ions has been investiga
ted on thin layers of plain silica gel and silica gel impregnated with
potassium, sodium, strontium, and cadmium chlorides, silver and urany
l nitrates, and lanthanum oxide. Aqueous solutions containing formate
ions were used as eluents. The effects of level of impregnation and of
mobile phase pH on the mobility of metal ions have also been examined
. Many possible ternary separations of metal ions have been presented.
