Abstract
The Pauson-Khand reaction on the carbohydrate derived precursors 1-5 i s reported. The resulting bis-heteroannulated pyranosides 6-10 have be en obtained in moderate yields. These enantiomerically pure, densely f unctionalized carbocycles are attractive advanced intermediates for th e synthesis of complex natural products.
