Abstract
A new genus of bactid mayflies is described, the adults closely relate d to the carnivorous genus Centroptiloides but the nymphs with mandibl es of the ancestral grinding type. Two species formerly included in Af roptilum are transferred to Dicentroptilum, A. decipiens and A. spinul osum. A new species from West Africa is described here.
