Abstract
Two hundred consecutive admissions to a community medical center with a diagnosis of proximal femoral fracture were analyzed to determine th e left:right ratio. It was found that there were 134 left-sided and 66 right-sided fractures. Although no apparent reason was noted, this ap pears to be a significant finding that warrants further investigation.
