Abstract
Dominant factors affecting oxygen saturation (O2sat), and its variabil ity (O2(sat)VAR), at various sections of the Timok River system (Serbi a/Bulgaria), are identified. Effects on O2sat and O2(sat)VAR of an oxy gen depletion shock', caused by a heavily polluted tributary of the Ti mok, are discussed in detail.
