Abstract
Fire residues from 3 flats and 2 vehicles were investigated for PCDD/F and PBDD/F. The residues contained amounts of PCDD/F between 50 to 70 90 ng I-TEQ/kg and PBDD/F between 0,5 to 155300 ng TEQ/kg. In general, we found higher amounts of chlorinated dioxins and furans compared to the brominated dioxins and furans except in the residue of a televisi on with 155300 ng TEQ PBDD/F/kg. Due to the high contamination found i n some samples, we recommend that all debris must be handled and dispo sed of with special precautions.
