Abstract
We report three cases of otogenic brain abscesses in which detailed an aerobic bacteriology was performed. Each case was predominantly due to anaerobic bacteria, from which ten, eight and six distinct anaerobic species, respectively, were isolated and identified. The organisms fou nd were generally a mixture of those found as normal flora in the oral cavity and in the intestinal tract.
