A Corriedale ewe bred by a Corriedale ram was presented to our clinics
with the history of preparturient prolapse. On examination, viscera w
ere seen protruding from the vulva. The case was suspected to be a sch
istosoma reflexus which was later confirmed by vaginal examination. Du
e to wedging of the fetus in the pelvis and the narrow vaginal passage
of the ewe, the monster lamb was recovered by Cesarean section. Photo
graphs of monster lamb were taken before and after surgery.
