Abstract
Two new Diels-Alder adducts of C-60 have been prepared from 1,3-diphen ylisobenzofuran and the ortho-quinodimethane generated from 1,4-dihydr oxy-2,3-bis(bromomethyl)anthraquinone: the dihydroxy anthraquinone-C-6 0 adduct readily undergoes deprotonation to give the corresponding dia nion.
