Abstract
The Kansas Wildlife Scales were developed to assess the attitudes of K ansans toward the preservation of wildlife and their habitats. 550 com puter-assisted telephone interviews were analyzed to estimate the inte rnal consistency of the scales. Cronbach alphas for the Threats to Wil dlife and Balancing Human and Wildlife Needs scales were both 0.77. Ev idence for the face and construct validity were included.
