Abstract
Chromium(III) alkyls featuring an amido ligand tethered to a permethyl cyclopentadienyl ring (i.e. [eta(5)-Me(4)C(5)SiMe(2)-eta(1)-N(t)Bu]CrR ) have been prepared and structurally characterized. They catalyze the polymerization of ethylene and the dimerization and isomerization of alpha-olefins.
