Abstract
In the soil cutting process, the forces on the blade of a bulldozer ar e variable and complicated, and they decrease the performance of bulld ozers. It's significant to understand soil-blade interaction in resear ching the performance, design and utilization of bulldozers. This pape r deals with the soil cutting process and sets up a mathematical model of soil-blade interaction. This mathematical model can be provided fo r computer simulation and its validity can be examined by experiments.
