The distribution of current and potential over the thickness of an ele
ctrode (in solid phase) and the electrolyte, with the specific resisti
vity of each phase other than zero, was considered for a one-dimension
al model of a hydrophilic porous electrode with rear and front arrange
ment of the current collector. Calculations were carried out on the po
larization and potential profiles in each phase along the coordinate,
and on the dependence of the dimensional current density on the electr
ode thickness.
