Abstract
The reaction of [PPh(4)](2)[Fe-3(CO)(11)] with ClPbPh(3) in tetrahydro furan in the presence of TiBF4 yields the new cluster [PPh(4)][Fe-3(CO )(9)(mu-CO)(2){PbPh(3)}], which exhibits an open Fe-Fe-Pb arrangement for the first time.
