Abstract
Photometric observations of the symbiotic star V443 Her in the UBVRJHK LMN system, carried out from 1979 - 1993, have shown that this binary system is an eclipsing variable with P = 597.d3 and with an almost sin e-shaped light curve having an amplitude DELTAU = 0.m6. This means tha t almost half the volume emission measure is concentrated around the h ot component of V443 Her, in a region the size of its cool companion. Our analysis of photometric and spectrophotometric observations of V44 3 Her enabled us to estimate the parameters of both its hot and cool c omponents and the gaseous envelope.
