The density and viscosity of molten mixtures of the KCl-LiCl eutectic
with NiCl2 were measured. The diffusion coefficients of Ni2+ cations w
ere measured by the rotating disc electrode method in the same mixture
s as a function of the nickel dichloride concentration and temperature
. It was found that the Ni2+ diffusion coefficients decrease considera
bly with the increase of the NiCl2 concentration from 1 to 20 mol %.
