Diffusion coefficients of Ni2+ cations were measured using a porous di
aphragm in molten mixtures of KCl-LiCl eutectic and nickel chloride in
the interval of X(NiCl2) from 0.01 to 0.20 at T = 903 K. It was found
that the diffusion coefficients considerably decrease with the increa
se of the NiCl2 concentration. The obtained relationship was explained
by the formation of two-centered complex ions of Ni2Cl26- in concentr
ated melts.
