Gs. Shekhtman et al., THE EFFECT OF ISOVALENT SUBSTITUTIONS IN THE GERMANIUM SUBLATTICE ON THE ELECTRIC PROPERTIES OF LI6.25GE1.75M0.25O7 (M=AL, GA), Russian journal of electrochemistry, 29(11), 1993, pp. 1236-1238
The paper reports a study of the effect of the partial substitution of
silicon or titanium cations for germanium ions on the resistivity and
activation energy for conduction of Li6.25Ge1.75Al(Ga)0.25O7 solid el
ectrolytes. The results give ample reason to state that, given a const
ant crystal structure and a constant charge-carrier concentration, the
electric conductivity of the solid solutions in question is determine
d by the geometric factor. The covalence of the rigid lattice, which h
as a direct bearing on the strength of the bond between the mobile lit
hium cations and oxygen anions, plays an insignificant role.
