The distribution of the polarization characteristics throughout the de
pth of the granular redoxite layer during electrochemical reduction wa
s studied. The rate of metal solid-phase electrocrystallization in the
ion-exchange matrix is determined by the overpotential of the limitin
g stage and the ohmic resistance of the solid phase. The ohmic resista
nce varies throughout the depth of the electrode when the metal compon
ent is accumulated.
