Abstract
A new equation with a single fitting parameter is derived for thermody namic properties of various strong electrolyte solutions whose concent rations vary over a wide range (0.005 - 10 mol/kg in terms of ionic st rength). Its efficiency is demonstrated by describing both the mean io nic activity coefficient (up to gamma+/- approximately 724) and osmoti c coefficient for a variety of aqueous electrolyte solutions at 298 K.
