Abstract
The variational solutions of polaronic type for low-lying vibronic sta tes of molecular systems are proposed. These solutions are evaluated a nalytically using a combined method which involves both the variationa l approach and the perturbation theory. A comparison with exact soluti ons for low-lying vibronic states of the mixed-valence dimers is made.
