Av. Smolin et al., INITIAL-STAGES OF COPPER ELECTROCRYSTALLIZATION ON POLYCRYSTALLINE SILVER, Russian journal of electrochemistry, 30(2), 1994, pp. 136-141
The initial stages of copper electrodeposition on polycrystalline silv
er were studied by the methods of potentiostatic transients of current
, cyclic voltammetry, and electron microscopy. It was shown that the d
iffusion model of hemispherical nuclei growth can be applied to estima
te relative changes in the formation rate and the number of copper nuc
lei. At potentials more positive than the equilibrium potential, an ef
fect of depositing copper adatoms on silver was detected.
