Theoretical analysis of potentiostatic metal electrodeposition with fo
rmation of a three-dimensional ''thick'' coating is performed. Time de
pendences of a consumed charge, the current, and the electrode surface
coverage with the deposited precipitate are obtained. Similar experim
ental curves should offer an opportunity to determine basic kinetic pa
rameters of the new phase nucleation and discharge of depositing parti
cles. Current peaking during deposition is studied.
