Botocudo diluticornis (Stal), the type species of Botocudo, is describ
ed: records are given from Brazil and its relationships are discussed.
Relationships within the genus and its general distribution are consi
dered. Botocudo neomodesta, a brachypterous new species, is described
and figured from Mexico. Paurocoris punctatus (Distant) is reported fr
om Tennessee, the second record of the species from the United States.
