Abstract
Pharmacokinetic characteristics of psychotropic drugs, including their absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination, vary greatly be tween drugs and between individual patients. Consideration of these fa ctors is necessary for the rational prescribing of drugs in psychiatry and can prevent potentially dangerous drug interactions.
