Abstract
BACKGROUND. There is little written in dermatologic literature on bipe dicle advancement flaps. OBJECTIVE. In this paper we review the techni que, case examples (many of which have not been described in the liter ature), benefits, and disadvantages of the bipedicle flap. CONCLUSION. We believe the bipedicle flap to be a much under-used flap in superfi cial soft tissue reconstruction. We suggest that this flap be actively considered as a reconstructive option for a variety of defects on mul tiple body sites.
