Abstract
From the viewpoint of the Kuhnian scientific revolution, paradigms of knowledge organization are examined. As an influential achievement, Fa ceted Classification is qualified as a paradigm today and tomorrow. Th ree features of the paradigm, i.e. features in theory, cognition, and methodology, are described, along with a critical overview of research and practice in our field.
