Abstract
The results of photographic observations of the type II supernovae SN 1994Y and 1995J and the type Ia supernova SN 1994ae are reported. SN 1 994Y is shown to have a linear Light curve and high absolute magnitude al maximum. Estimates for the absolute magnitudes of SN 1994ae and 19 95J have been obtained.
