R. Edinger et al., EVALUATION OF THE PASCO GRAM-NEGATIVE NONFERMENTER IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM, Diagnostic microbiology and infectious disease, 19(1), 1994, pp. 61-63
The Pasco Gram-negative identification system was evaluated for use wi
th nonfermenting organisms. Of 127 isolates tested, 109 (86%) were cor
rectly identified to the species level. A total of 91% (93 of 102 isol
ates) of the Pseudomonas-Xanthomonas group and the Acinetobacter group
were correctly identified to the species level. The system was found
to be useful for the identification of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Xanthom
onas maltophilia, and Acinetobacter species.
